Real progress.
Feeling like you again.

I work with people who have jobs, families, busy weeks and goals that matter to them. Here’s what some of them have built through coaching with me.

Different starting points. Personal progress.

What changed for them?

The people I coach have different starting points and different goals. I take the time to understand both.

Jason Cockman deadlifting in the gym
Jason Cockman · Online coaching

Strong at 56. Built for the long term.

When Jason returned to bench pressing in March 2023, he hadn’t benched for 18 months. He wanted to improve his lifts safely and build towards a powerlifting competition.

I’ve coached Jason with structured training, technique feedback and workload adjustments based on how he’s responding. Over the years, we’ve built momentum, adapted through setbacks and kept practising the lifts.

The results are substantial. Jason recorded a 102.5 kg bench press in 2025 and three 100 kg singles in September 2026. Now 56, his October training includes squat triples up to 120 kg and three sets of three deadlifts at 140 kg.

More of Jason’s story

His own feedback also shows growing confidence and renewed enjoyment. He has spoken about looking forward to bench sessions, feeling more confident getting the bar off the floor and appreciating a program that takes his changing needs into account.

Jason’s story reflects how I approach coaching people in their 50s and beyond: take their goals seriously, challenge them appropriately, and adapt the training so they can keep building a lasting relationship with strength.

Strength for Jiu Jitsu

Meher recently won his division at an Australasian Jiu Jitsu competition. I coach his strength training around the demands of his sport.

Between August and September 2026, Meher increased his deadlift from 100 kg to 120 kg for the same five sets of three reps—a 20 kg increase in five weeks.

Training built around his sport. Measurable progress in the gym. A division win on the mat.

Years of strength built, a 195 kg deadlift achieved

I’ve worked with Rebecca for years. Her strength progress shows what we’ve been able to build over that time.

Her first recorded assessments with me in May 2022 were a 90 kg squat, 65 kg bench press and 150 kg deadlift, each for three reps.

Since then, she has achieved 127.5 kg for three on the squat, 80 kg for three on the bench and 182.5 kg for three on the deadlift. That’s an additional 37.5 kg, 15 kg and 32.5 kg respectively, while keeping the same rep count.

In October 2026, she added another milestone: a 195 kg deadlift single.

More of Rebecca’s story

Along the way, Rebecca’s goals have also included preparing for her first bodybuilding competition. I’ve developed her training around those changing goals, with attention to technique, workload and steady progression.

Her story reflects what I value in coaching: helping someone build on their existing ability, giving their training clear direction and staying invested in their development over the long term.

Building strength around a full life

As a single mum over 40 with a demanding job, Kelly has plenty competing for her time and energy.

I help Kelly give training a clear place in that busy life, with structure, accountability and room to adjust when she needs it.

Between February and July 2026, Kelly increased her deadlift from three sets of three at 102.5 kg to the same work at 115 kg. In September, she logged a 115 kg squat, 70 kg bench press and 120 kg deadlift across her training week.

More of Kelly’s story

She has also found more balance. During a family holiday, she completed her three main sessions while making time to enjoy the trip. Her check-ins describe feeling more comfortable enjoying social occasions and returning to routine afterwards.

Kelly’s progress reflects what I want coaching to make possible: building strength while keeping space for family, work and enjoying life.
